About the Fellowships
Lauren called her vision 'Beloved Community'—a space of connection, shared learning, and collective care. These fellowships invite you to be part of it.
Each fellow receives $300 and joins a cohort of students building community across the Interdisciplinary Studies department.
Fellows are encouraged to reapply as they continue their studies.
Eligibility
Completed one of the courses listed below
Enrolled in 6+ units
Completed at least 6 units
Minimum 2.7 GPA
Continuing at CCSF or transferring

Poetry for the People Fellow (IDST 36) For students who believe poetry can build community and change the world.
Critical Pacific Islands & Oceania Studies Fellow (IDST 45 or 46) For students centering Pacific Islander voices, histories, and futures.
Critical Middle East/SWANA Studies Fellow (IDST 29, 30, or 31) For students exploring the histories, cultures, and politics of Southwest Asia and North Africa.
Critical Native American and Indigenous Studies Fellow (NAIS 38 or 39) For students engaged in Indigenous sovereignty, resistance, and resilience.
Diversity and Social Justice Fellow (IDST 80 or 81) For students examining how oppression works—and how to dismantle it.
Trauma, Prevention, and Recovery Fellow (IDST 47) For students learning to support survivors and prevent violence.
Ethnic Studies Fellow (IDST 37) For students applying an intersectional lens to race, ethnicity, and justice.
